Did you know that "ammonite" is named after the ancient Egyptian god Amun, as they resemble the ram horns he was frequently depicted with!

This teardrop shaped pendant is made from an ancient ammonite fossil, set into a pendant made from a blend of recycled .999 fine and .925 sterling silver - salvaged in-house!

Most ammonites lived about 200 million years ago, during the Jurassic & Cretaceous periods, which I can barely get my head around! The Fibonnaci spiral is gorgeously preserved in warm, amber tones in this specimen.

Listed as a pendant only but you can add a chain of your choice from this listing. You automatically get 10% off your chain when you purchase one with a pendant. For this necklace, I recommend a thin 18" belcher, but it's up to you!
