Alder Bud Pendant

These protective pendants are cast in solid silver from a budding sprig of alder tree that I picked from the banks of the River Dee in Wales

In British folklore, alder trees were symbols of protection and guidance. When alder trees are cut their bark turns deep orange from its red sap and so it's believed that ancient warriors carved their shields from alder wood because the tree's spirit has bled and would now protect them from harm in battle.

If you need a little protective guidance through rough times, perhaps this is the charm you need to see you safely through.
